The History of W.E. Willis Stores

In the 1940s, T.E. Willis opened up the first supermarket in the heart of Travelers Rest, South Carolina. His son, Warren Earl Willis, took over the business in his early 20s after a childhood of watching his father run the company. W.E. Willis has come a long way from that store in Travelers Rest. We now have a chain of convenience and local liquor stores across South Carolina, and our customers come back to experience a new type of rest stop experience.
